Noodles SMS Privacy Policy

Noodles is an automated AI assistant application operated by Kevin Wood ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Noodles text-messaging program collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information we collect

Your mobile phone number, when you text the Noodles number.
The content of your messages, including any photos or other media you send.
Message delivery information, such as when messages were sent and whether they were delivered.

We do not collect information from you by any other means as part of this program.

Connected accounts

With the account holder's authorization, the assistant can read and update certain connected accounts in order to answer requests: calendar and email (via Google) and smart-home devices (such as lights). For example, it can schedule a calendar event you ask for, summarize your email when you ask about it, or turn on a light. Email access is read-only. Information from connected accounts is used only to respond to the request that asked for it, is included only in replies to the user who asked, and is never used for advertising or marketing.

How we use your information

We use this information only to operate the Noodles assistant: to receive your messages, generate automated replies, deliver reminders and updates you request, carry out actions you ask for in connected accounts, and handle opt-out (STOP) and help (HELP) requests. We do not use it for advertising or marketing.

Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

We do not sell your information. To provide the service, limited information is processed by these service providers:

Twilio, our messaging provider, which transmits text messages between your phone and the Noodles application.
A web search provider (Serper, which returns Google search results). When answering a question requires a web search, the search query is sent to this provider. Your phone number is not sent with it.
Connected account providers (Google for calendar and email; the smart-home platform for device control). When you ask the assistant to act on a connected account, the request needed to do so is sent to that provider. Your phone number is not sent with it.

The AI model that generates replies runs on hardware we own and operate; your messages are not sent to a third-party AI service. We may also disclose information if required by law.

Storage and retention

Messages and conversation history are stored on servers we own and operate, and are kept only as long as needed to provide the assistant (for example, so it can remember earlier parts of a conversation). You can ask us to delete your conversation history and phone number at any time using the contact information below.

Your choices

Reply STOP to stop receiving messages. You will receive one confirmation message, and no further messages unless you text the number again.
Reply HELP for help.
Contact us to request access to or deletion of your information.

Children

This program is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and revise the effective date above.
